Commissioner wants to pick up recycling for county |

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Columbus County commissioner Edwin Russ owns Go Green Recycling in Whiteville.

Russ picks up recycling paper for the county school system for free.

Now, he wants to do the same thing for county buildings. 

But some say that could be a conflict of interest.

Commissioners say, they'll probably vote on the idea if russ brings up his suggestion.

Russ tells us, since the county would not have to pay him, it would save taxpayers money.
