Whiteville Rotary Club to host cardboard boat race
LAKE WACCAMAW, NC (WECT) - The Whiteville Rotary Club will be hosting a boat race Saturday afternoon at the Lake Waccamaw Sailing Club, according to a press release.
Fourteen teams will compete to see which cardboard boat can float the longest, and money raised will go towards the club.
Participating teams include churches, youth groups, and corporations.
There will be a Titanic Award for the best “sinking.”
The event is free to the public, and refreshments will be served.
