SCC ceramics class starts Jan. 24 | Arts & Culture

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A course starting January 24 at Southeastern Community College will provide an introduction to ceramics.

The class, taught by Deena Sarvis, will emphasize the fundamentals of forming, surface design, glaze application, and firing.

Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills in different hand-building construction techniques, simple wheel forms, glaze technique, and creative expression.

The class will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9-11 a.m.
