Commissioners talk about hospital's lease | Business

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Columbus County Commissioners and administrators with Columbus Regional Healthcare System are having a workshop Monday night to talk about the hospital’s lease.

Officials with the hospital are leasing the building from the county and the lease is not up for nearly another five years, according to Commissioners. However, hospital administrators are considering millions of dollars worth of upgrades to the facility and would like to extend the lease.

The groups will also discuss the possibility of opening a Wellness Center for the county during the meeting.
