Columbus County, along with the towns of Whiteville and Bladenboro, received the following grants:

  • Bladenboro - $500,000 to go towards acquiring, demolishing and constructing a new senior center
  • Whiteville - $500,000 for clearing and rehabilitating 18 single-family homes.
