COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A settlement has been reached between Columbus County Schools and Roger Bacon Charter schools.
According to the county's superintendent, Alan Faulk, officials with Roger Bacon Academy didn't think the school was getting a fair amount of money from the county school system.
Now, the superintendent of Whiteville City Schools is deciding where that money will come from.
Both the Whiteville City and Columbus County superintendents say they knew the settlement was coming, and that their school systems budgeted for it.
