SCC hosting Star Spangled Spring 5K/fun run
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Southeastern Community College will be honoring veterans this weekend with a free 5K run/walk and kids fun run, called the Star Spangled Sprint.
The 5K will begin at 10:30 a.m. The kids fun run, for kids 12 and younger, will be held at 10:20 a.m., according to SCC’s website.
You can click here to preregister, and registration will also take place from 9 to 10 a.m. in front of A Building on campus.
Organizers are scheduled to specially recognize veterans in attendance, and a band will be performing.
There will also be food for sale, prizes and bouncy houses for kids.
