COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Fourteen honor students participated as marshals during the 48th Commencement exercises for Southeastern Community College on May 4, 2012.
Marshals are high honor students who serve as the hosts and hostesses of the graduation by seating special guests, handing out programs, and ringing bells that signal the beginning and ending of the ceremony. They also lead and direct the graduates in marching to their seats and in some cases accepting their degrees or diplomas.
