Popular Whiteville High dancer will continue career in college
WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) - Whiteville native Macelyn Batten, who was selected to dance in front of thousands of people during the 2011 NFL Pro Bowl, will continue her dance career while in college.
Batten is a 2012 graduate of Whiteville High School and is the daughter of Columbus County Sheriff Chris Batten.
Sheriff Batten said his daughter will dance for North Carolina State University's football and basketball teams this fall.
Macelyn Batten competed in a cheerleading competition in Raleigh back in 2010 and that's when she was selected to be a feature dacner during the Pro Bowl.
