East Columbus hosts Whiteville in week 4 | Community Spirit

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Whiteville and East Columbus fans may have been disappointed after watching their teams both drop the first game of the season. But both have bounced back, winning their next two straight games before heading into Friday’s matchup.

East Columbus took the lead early in the first half and was able to stay ahead through the end. Final score: Whiteville 8, East Columbus 28.

The last time the Gators won three in a row was in 2009, the same year they won the conference championship.

This Friday East Columbus will travel to Southwest Onslow while Whiteville heads to North Brunswick.
