SCC nursing students promote healthy holidays | Community Spirit
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Miranda Buck of Tabor City, a nursing student at Southeastern Community College, offers a mini banana nut muffin to a shopper at McNeill’s Pharmacy in Whiteville on Friday, Nov. 30.
The nursing students set up educational booths at three local stores as part of their “Healthy Holidays” campaign.
The 25 students provided shoppers with healthy recipes and samples.
They also displayed props that illustrated how much sugar is in a soft drink and the components of a healthy meal.
