Nominations needed to recognize senior volunteers | Community Spirit

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - If you know a "senior" whos like to volunteer their time, you have a chance to make sure they are recognized for their efforts.

Home Instead Senior Care is asking for nominations for the Salute to Senior Service Program. A nominee must be an adult who is 65 or older and who gives at least 15 hours a month of volunteer service to their favorite causes.

Nominations will be accepted between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2013.

This is a statewide competition. State winners could go on to the national competition to ultimately win $5,000 for a charity of their choice.

You can nominate someone here  online nomination forms or completed nomination forms can be mailed to Salute to Senior Service, P.O. Box 285, Bellevue, NE 68005.
