East Columbus High School club visits UNCW for Health Science Day | Education
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – East Columbus High School’s R.O.C.A.M.E Club recently attended Health Science day at UNC Wilmington, according to the Columbus County Schools website.
Twenty ECHS students toured UNCW’s campus and saw facilities for the college's Nursing, Athletic Training and Health Education departments.
Workforce Diversity and Centro Hispano served as sponsors for the program.
Students in attendance commented that UNCW’s campus was “gorgeous” and that math and science teachers are in high demand.
“This trip got me super excited about a career in nursing,” said student Quantasis Simpson.
