Actress Lisa Whelchel to speak at women's conference | Entertainment

WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) – For the third time, the Women of Worth Conference will be held in Whiteville Jan. 25 and 26, according to a news release from event organizers.

The event will take place in Whiteville High School’s Bowers Auditorium, and the speaker this year will be Lisa Whelchel, who played Blair on The Facts of Life.

Laura Story, a Grammy-winning singer, will perform a concert Friday night and will conduct the praise and worship music for the conference Saturday. Additionally, Kelly Ingram will serve as the featured comedienne.

Tickets are $40 each, and they include breakfast and lunch Saturday.

Friday’s event will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday’s will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
