Dewey Hill honored by SCC Foundation | Events

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The SCC Foundation is excited to announce that Dewey L. Hill will be the honorary chairman at the 35th Annual Foundation Dinner Theatre on Saturday, April 13. The former state representative, known for his prowess as a businessman and his advocacy for agriculture, always makes education and Southeastern Community College a priority.

“The Foundation board is very deliberate in its selection of an honoree for this prestigious event,” stated Executive Dean of Institutional Advancement Sue Hawks. “We select not only supporters of the SCC Foundation but champions of community initiatives as well. There is so much depth to Mr. Hill’s community involvement that it will be hard to choose facets of his life to highlight,” she concluded.

The festivities honoring Hill will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception located in the Business & Industry Skills Training Center (T-building). Dinner and entertainment will follow. Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased by calling the Foundation office at 642-7141, extension 260 or 320. Visa and MasterCard are accepted by the Foundation and a portion of the ticket price is tax deductible as allowed by law. More details concerning Mr. Hill’s contributions to Columbus County and North Carolina, as well as details about the dinner theatre will be forthcoming.
