COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Earlier this week, Columbus County Commissioners voted to add a requirement to all pet adoptions.
Animals adopted from the county’s animal shelter must be spayed or neutered.
Commissioners said the recommendation came from the Animal Control Advisory Board. They hope it will cut down on the number of stray animals in the area.
