Man recovering after being struck by vehicle
WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) - A man in Whiteville is recovering after police say he was struck by a Ford Explorer on Tuesday.
According to investigators, around 2:30 p.m., 26-year-old Jason Earl Ward was walking on JK Powell Boulevard, when they say he failed to yield for oncoming traffic.
Police say driver Jennifer Boswell then ran into Ward.
Officers say Ward was transported to Columbus Regional Healthcare System and is expected to live.
He will not face any charges.
