Sheriff's conference held in Columbus County | News
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - This week, more than 20 sheriffs from across the state are gathering in Columbus County, attending a state sheriff's Education Training and Standards Commission Conference.
The sheriffs will discuss how to hire, certify, and train deputies, and the conference ends Thursday.
Columbus County Sheriff Chris Batten got to host the event.
It's held in a different county four times each year.
