Motorcyclist dies in Columbus County | News
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A 21-year old motorcyclist in Columbus County died Sunday, after troopers with the sate highway patrol said he lost control of his bike and crashed.
According to investigators, on Saturday Franklin Trapp Jr. was traveling down Highway 131 outside of Whiteville, when he ran off the road, struck trees and ended in a ditch.
They say speed was a factor.
Troopers said yesterday Trapp died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
