Rangers investigating brush fire | News
HALLSBORO, NC (WECT) - Thursday, a small brush fire that spread to an acre of land in Columbus County and put several homeowners on edge.
A ranger with NC Fire Services says the fire started around around 1 p.m near the Hallsboro community on Sam Potts Highway.
Investigators say that five homes were in danger, but crews were able to get the flames under control in 30 minutes.
Rangers are trying to figure out who started the small fire.
They believe the fire started when someone was burning debris.
