WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - An arctic cold front will pass through the area late Tuesday. Following it, by far the coldest air of the autumn season so far will pour into the area! Temperatures will gradually moderate to late in the week and the weekend.
MONDAY NIGHT: Expect mostly clear skies and light winds - mainly from the north or west. Temperatures will dip to lows mainly in the upper 30s and lower 40s for inland areas and middle and upper 40s for the beaches.
TUESDAY: Expect variable clouds. Temperatures will sneak into the upper 50s and lower 60s early in the afternoon before crashing back through the 50s late in the afternoon. North or northwest winds will grow to 15mph+ speeds late. Afternoon shower chance: 20%.
