Cancellations: Severe weather postpones activities | Weather

SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WECT) – The severe weather in the area is causing officials to cancel activities. Here's the list we've compiled so far:

New Hanover County Schools has cancelled all after school outdoor activities for Friday, Feb. 24. If you have questions about your child's school, call the school directly.

Pender County Schools has cancelled all after school activities for Friday, Feb. 24.

Cumberland County Schools will release an hour early on Friday as a precautionary measure to the threat of hazardous weather. Primetime will be on a regular schedule.

High school basketball, round three games:

Boys 1A

• West Columbus (12-10) at James Kenan (19-7), postponed until Saturday at 1 p.m.

Girls 1A

• East Columbus (19-3) at Goldsboro (24-2), postponed until Saturday at 1 p.m.

Boys 2A

• North Brunswick (16-8) at Beddingfield (18-6), will be played Friday at its regular time
• Cummings (18-7) at West Bladen (21-6), postponed until Saturday at 4 p.m.

Girls 2A

• Whiteville (17-4) at Northwood (25-3), will be played Friday at its regular time

Boys 4A

• Clayton (18-5) at New Hanover (25-1), will be played Friday at its regular time
