CHADBOURN, NC (WECT) - Town officials in Chadbourn recently spent $40,000 from the town's storm water reserve fund to make improvements on Thompson Street. Town manager Stevie Cox tells us, they added new storm drains along with replaced a sewer line that was installed back in the 1950s.
Many areas in the town flood often. But town officials believe the project will officer relief for some people.
They're putting the finishing touches on the Thompson Street project and soon plan to make drainage improvements on Land Street.
